Job summary

Responsibilities

Job Details

Supervises day-to-day specialty pharmacy support and dispensing coordination to meet productivity, service, safety, and quality targets. Leads a frontline team executing patient onboarding, benefits verification, prior authorization coordination, refill scheduling, order fulfillment, and cold-chain logistics under approved SOPs. Oversees workload planning, shift scheduling, and KPI tracking to maintain cycle time, accuracy, adherence, and shipment timeliness. Improves local processes and tools, resolves routine operational issues, and upholds privacy, security, and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises scheduling of pharmacy technical staff.
  • Coordinates in-services when needed.

  • The performance of key responsibilities must meet expectations as defined in the performance standards of this position description.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function. A team member who does not meet attendance standards outlined in the Personnel Policy, Attendance and Tardiness, is not qualified for this position.

Education
  • National Certified Pharmacy Technician and Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Tennessee
  • 4+ years community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system related experience.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Candidates should have prior experience on pharmacy dispensing systems and be familiar with insurance adjudication processes.
