As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while supporting a team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes. Working closely with Pharmacy Leadership, you will oversee daily operations, drive quality and safety initiatives, mentor pharmacy staff, and help advance innovative pharmacy practices across the organization.
Under the direction of Pharmacy Leadership, the Pharmacy Supervisor provides operational oversight and guidance for pharmacy personnel and services. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient workflows, ensuring medication safety and regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and promoting optimal patient care through the safe and effective use of medications.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. Current New York State Pharmacist license and registration, or eligibility to obtain licensure and registration in New York State. Candidates hired without licensure must obtain an unrestricted New York State pharmacist license within three months of employment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with software applications used for word processing and data management.
Advanced degree, residency, fellowship, or specialized pharmacy training. Three or more years of post-graduate pharmacy practice experience. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital or health-system pharmacy setting.
