Job summary

Providence Swedish Mill Creek seeks a leader to supervise daily departmental operations, design staffing plans, and implement policies and quality improvements in patient access and revenue cycle. This role ensures timely, accurate registration and financial counseling, adherence to service standards, and close collaboration with the department manager to resolve issues impacting the revenue cycle.

A background with at least 4 years in healthcare registration/billing is expected; a Bachelor's

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in healthcare related registration, billing, and/or financial counseling.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and delegates daily departmental operations and staffing.
  • Develops and implements operational plans including policies and procedures.
  • Ensures timely, accurate and compliant patient registration and financial counseling.
  • Ensures staff adherence to service standards and required competencies.
  • Collaborates with the department Manager to resolve revenue cycle issues.
  • Capable of performing duties of Financial Counselor, Registration Representative and Receptionist Clerk.

Accountable for the supervision and delegation of all aspects of daily departmental operations. Develops and implements an operational plan that includes staffing resources, policies and procedures, and quality improvement activities. Ensure timely, accurate and compliant registration and financial counseling of all patients. Assures that all staff adheres to Swedish's customer service standards. Assures that all staff is compliant with Organization and Department required competencies. Works with department Manager to resolve problems impacting the patient access revenue cycle. Able to perform all duties of Financial Counselor, Registration Representative and Receptionist Clerk.

Required Qualifications
  • 4 years of experience in healthcare related registration, billing, and/or financial counseling

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
