Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Financial Coordinator to identify and coordinate all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. You will liaise with physicians on financial liabilities and deposits, and ensure timely, documented handling of patient needs and complaints.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating financial obligations for private pay patients.
  • Ability to respond to patient or payer inquiries with timely documentation.
  • Knowledge of hospital financial workflows and recovery strategies.

Description

Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. Including, but not limited to, patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collection. Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner and in a way that supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or additional experience may be substituted for no degree
  • 3 years or experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office or five years of experience without degree

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.39 - $35.78
