Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking an Activities Ops Supervisor in California to design and run engaging recreational activities for Owners and guests, coordinating events and managing a team of Activities associates.

You will recruit, schedule, and train staff, ensuring a high-energy, guest-focused atmosphere and adherence to safety standards across all shifts and holidays.

Qualifications

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• US Driver's License required.
• Background and drug screening contingent on company policy.
• Lifts/Carrys/Pushes/Pulls items that weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Creates recreational activities agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Encourages, recruits, registers, and schedules Owners/guests to participate in recreational activities.
• Promotes a fun and relaxing atmosphere for Owner/guests.
• Supervises the Activities associates; assists management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serves as a role model.
• Ensures that hourly associates are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
• Coordinates tasks and works with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
• Promotes the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of Owner/guests and members.

Typical Day – Responsibilities

• Conducts inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and informs the manager of low-supply items.
• Encourages, recruits, registers, and schedules Owners/guests to participate in recreational activities.
• Promotes a fun and relaxing atmosphere for Owner/guests.
• Supervises the Activities associates; assists management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serves as a role model.
• Ensures that hourly associates are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
• Coordinates tasks and works with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
• Promotes the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of Owner/guests and members.

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.

Qualifications

• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lifts/Carrys/Pushes/Pulls items that weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
