Responsibilities

How will you make an impact?

  • Manage aircraft gate planning and ramp movement, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee gate planning and maintain daily schedule integrity.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with work groups, vendors, and management, ensuring local station requirements and safety objectives are met.
  • Support agents responsible for weight and balance planning of American Eagle flights.
  • Control aircraft movement in ramp/gate areas to meet operational priorities for all carriers under the American Eagle brand and others in Dallas/Fort Worth.
  • Coordinate with Air Traffic Control to prioritize high-value flights without disrupting airport surface movements, making hold or push decisions using available tools.
  • Assist management with additional administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum age: 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or passport; license restrictions may affect consideration
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
  • Active listening skills—giving full attention, understanding points, and asking questions
  • Sound judgment to resolve issues with internal and external customers by evaluating solutions and approaches
  • Monitor and assess performance to implement improvements or corrective actions
  • Prioritize tasks and execute with urgency and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Previous Air Traffic Control experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of airline operational experience, including weight and balance planning, preferred
  • Mathematical skills for calculations preferred
  • Knowledge of company programs such as Ascent Aris GM, GETNG, VantagePoint preferred
