Leonardo DRS in West Plains, MO is seeking a Supervisor Operations to oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities within the Land Systems unit. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure quality, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining a 4/10 schedule (Mon-Thu).

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities, with exposure to fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly.

Qualifikationen

• Experience supervising manufacturing in fabrication, welding and mechanical assembly.
• Strong technical expertise with demonstrated application.
• Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques.
• Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS, etc).
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead activities to resolve issues and problems, identifying root cause and effecting appropriate corrective action.
• Monitor and enable internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement through deployment of best practices, such as Lean Six Sigma.
• Maintain and continuously improve areas, which impact on Team Member safety.
• Hire, manage career development, and assess performance of assigned team members.
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
• Attend applicable internal or external customer meetings.
• Participate on special project teams.
• Support new product introduction activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of an assigned manufacturing area

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in manufacturing supervision in skilled areas of fabrication, welding and mechanical assembly
• Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application
• Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques
• Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS, etc)
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
