Leonardo DRS in West Plains, MO is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Technician to execute complex inspections and support certification activities while mentoring junior staff. You will interpret prints, collect data, and partner with Quality Engineering to improve processes.

Responsibilities include first article/startup verification, in-process checks, tool/fixture certification, and helping drive corrective actions. Join a 4/10 schedule with first shift operations.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices.
• Soldering and wire bonding experience a plus.
• Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals.
• Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and LabVIEW.
• Experience with MRP a plus.
• Must have good mechanical skills.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for executing complex inspection and verification activities, supporting advanced measurement and tool/fixture certification work, and mentoring junior technicians.
• Applies deeper print interpretation, supports data collection for trending and effectiveness verification, and provides day-to-day technical support to manufacturing/test while partnering closely with Quality Engineering.
• Execute complex inspections requiring multi-step setups, tighter tolerances, and more detailed print interpretation; ensure repeatable methods and objective evidence.
• Support first article inspections/startup verification and in-process verification for critical characteristics; elevate instability conditions per reaction plans.
• Support tool/fixture certification execution including data collection, verification, and preparation of certification packages; identify method risks and elevate.
• Collect measurement and defect data to support QE-led trending, root cause analysis, and verification-of-effectiveness activities.
• Lead containment execution at the floor level (scope confirmation, verification checks, documentation) under Supervisor/QE direction.
• Mentor and coach QT I–II technicians; support qualification sign-offs as delegated.
• Provide technical support to Assembly/Test/Inspection personnel including workmanship improvement feedback and inspection method consistency.
