Job summary

Hamilton Township School District is seeking a District Supervisor of Visual & Performing Arts (K–12) to lead instructional quality across all buildings in Mercer County.

The role requires strong classroom experience, appropriate instructional and supervisory certifications, and the ability to coordinate district-wide initiatives and professional development for arts education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching in assigned areas.
• Master's Degree in Administration preferred.
• Valid standard instructional certificate.
• Valid standard supervisory certificate.
• Experience coordinating district-wide events.
• Experience with curricular implementation and revisions.
• Knowledge of Danielson's Framework for Teaching.
• Knowledge of state teacher evaluation initiatives.
• Knowledge of NJSLS for supervision areas.
• Ability to work with educational vendors to obtain quotes within budget.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching (particularly in at least one area of assigned subject areas)
• Curricular Administrative Experience (preferred)
• Valid (standard) instructional certificate
• Valid (standard) supervisory certificate
• Master's Degree in Administration (preferred)
• Knowledge/experience with coordinating district-wide events
• Experience with curricular implementation and revisions
• Knowledge of State's initiative on Teacher Effectiveness/Evaluation
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching
• Working Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
• Knowledge of NJSLS for assigned areas of supervision
• Knowledge/abilities to work with educational vendors to obtain quotes (within budget allocations)
• Ability to coordinate professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with instructional staff, building principals, and other Central Office staff within a large district setting

Effective:

2026 - 2027 School Year

Salary :

(prorated from July 1, 2026 per start date)

• Based on 2026-2027 HTASA Salary Guide Step 9A: (min.) $132,814 to (max.) $161,605 (with doctorate degree).

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
