Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC is seeking a Financial Reporting Supervisor in Oklahoma City to lead the accounting team in developing, maintaining, and reviewing financial reporting processes. You will ensure timely posting of journal entries, prepare financial statements, and assist with the annual audit.

You will set priorities for the team, respond to internal/external inquiries, and manage the monthly cash and asset-based recap for oil and gas assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience as an Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Set priorities and goals for the team that support the strategic plan and direction of the accounting staff.
• Respond to internal and external customer needs and inquiries.
• Manage and develop team whose primary focus is to understand and report the financial recap from our various oil and gas assets on a monthly basis.
• Instill confidence in team with respect to their position and interaction with the commercial and contract admin groups.
• As a team, create and maintain desk procedures and process workflows.
• Review and approve journal entries.
• Review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and explanation of variances on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc reporting.
• Lead and assist with special projects as needed.

You will be responsible for high priority special projects and initiatives in the accounting department under limited direction with minimal supervision. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that all journal entries are posted in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles, preparing and analyzing financial reports and assisting with the annual audit.
