Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a skilled cardiac lab professional for a full-time day shift. The role involves performing circulations in the diagnostic/therapeutic lab, coordinating department activities, and ensuring patient safety.

Relocation up to $3K and sign-on up to $10K are available if eligible. Requires RN or eligible allied health credentialing, with strong ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Job Description:

Schedule: 0630-1700 For Eligible Applicants. Up to $3K Relocation Bonus (if eligible) Up to $10K Sign on Bonus (if eligible) Performs effectively in all procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice.

• Plans, develops, and coordinates department activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
• Supports and enforces policy and procedure, ensuring safety for self, staff, physicians, and patients.
• Manages time and equipment effectively, working as a team member to provide the best possible care to patients.
• Practices universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
• Delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional patient care services consistently.
• Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement, understanding department performance trends and established standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information.
• Assists leadership in meeting department budgetary goals and creating budget plans.
• Ensures appropriate daily and on-call staffing, managing lab labor expenses in accordance with department budget.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade clinical and leadership skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required] Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required] Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required] Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required] Computer skills in word processing and email, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook [Preferred] Knowledge of PACS, hemodynamic and documentation system.
