Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking qualified healthcare professionals for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology support at our Orlando facility. The role requires clinical expertise, patient communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.

Required certifications include BLS and ACLS with RN/RIS/RT/RCIS/RCES or related licensure; 1+ year healthcare experience is preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.

  • Maintains accurate medical records and documents activities.
  • Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) in cath/EP labs.
  • Takes call as rotated and responds in hospital per policy.

Job Description

Sign On Bonus $15,000 for eligible candidates. Relocation Bonus $3,000 for eligible candidates. Shift Schedule: 36 Hours per week / 3X12 Hour shifts. Location: 601 East Rollins Street, Orlando, FL 32803.

  • Must be able to perform three of the following procedures: diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, electrophysiology procedures, peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, neuro radiologic procedures, structural heart procedures, and pediatric procedures.
  • Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments according to policy and training.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications.
  • Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
  • Produces accurately written and promptly completed medical records for each patient.
  • Maintains authenticity and security of medical records, following prescribed processes for amending documents.
  • Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in therapeutic cardiac and electrophysiology laboratories.
  • Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds in hospital per policy.
  • Provides training for procedures within their competency and assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
  • Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and documents activities as needed.
  • Participates in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of Vascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring [Required]
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Knowledge of complex peripheral intervention procedures, peripheral diagnostic procedures and peripheral intervention procedures [Preferred]

Work Experience
  • 1+ relevant healthcare experience [Required]
  • 2+ years in cardiac cath/EP/neurosciences/ critical care, or interventional radiology [Preferred]
