Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ECG, arrhythmia interpretation and cardiovascular anatomy required.
  • Ability to monitor hemodynamic status and use clinical equipment safely.
  • Strong communication with patients, families and hospital staff.
  • Familiarity with healthcare concepts, documentation, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reading/writing of English.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate cardiovascular procedure equipment; ensure sterilization and readiness.
  • Document patient records accurately based on intervention complexity.
  • Train and supervise new staff; participate in quality and performance improvements.
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and coordinate with physicians during procedures.
  • Perform imaging procedures including angio and interventional tasks as directed.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and radiation safety procedures.

Job Description

Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization. Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Maintains accurate and secure medical records, following prescribed processes for documentation. Demonstrates cross-functional abilities and leadership skills within the cardiovascular team. Takes scheduled emergency calls and responds in a timely manner. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions. Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed. Administers and evaluates effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training. Other duties as assigned. Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and performs within the scope of practice for the position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]

  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately [Required]
  • Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations [Required]
  • Observing patient during procedure and reporting abnormal activity. Monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted [Required]
  • Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines [Required]
  • Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures [Required]
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards [Required]
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of peripheral intervention procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures [Preferred]
  • Basic EKG interpretation [Preferred]
