Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando seeks an experienced cardiac care professional to join the lab team. You will assist in circulator, monitor, or scrub roles across diagnostic and interventional procedures, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires RN licensure, Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and ACLS/RCIS certifications, with strong communication and teamwork to support safety and department goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG and arrhythmia interpretation required.
• Understanding of cardiovascular and vascular anatomy required.
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulator, monitor, or scrub roles in a diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac laboratory.
• Plans and coordinates department activities to ensure efficiency and high-quality patient care.
• Enforces safety policies and maintains confidentiality of information.
• Manages staffing, labor costs, and budget in collaboration with leadership.
• Supports data collection for process improvement and tracking of department performance.

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0700-1530 Performs effectively in all procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice. Plans, develops, and coordinates department activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care. Supports and enforces policy and procedure, ensuring safety for self, staff, physicians, and patients. Manages time and equipment effectively, working as a team member to provide the best possible care to patients. Practices universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies. Delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional patient care services consistently. Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement, understanding department performance trends and established standards. Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Maintains confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information. Assists leadership in meeting department budgetary goals and creating budget plans. Ensures appropriate daily and on-call staffing, managing lab labor expenses in accordance with department budget. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade clinical and leadership skills. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Computer skills in word processing and email, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook [Preferred]
• Knowledge of PACS, hemodynamic and documentation system. [Preferred]
• Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Preferred]
• Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
• Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures [Preferred]
• Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
• Knowledge of peripheral interventional procedures [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's [Required]

• Field of Study: in Nursing or Science
• Work Experience: 2+ relevant healthcare experience [Required]
