Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified clinical professional for the Cardiac Lab team. The role involves performing procedural support across circulatory lab duties, coordinating department activities, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

The position requires ECG knowledge, arrhythmia interpretation, cardiovascular anatomy familiarity, and strong teamwork. A minimum of associate degree and 2+ years healthcare experience are expected with BLS/ACLS and RN or equivalent

Qualifications

• Clinical knowledge in ECG and arrhythmia interpretation required.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular anatomy required.
• Hemodynamic monitoring and patient assessment knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• PerformDiagnostic/therapeutic procedures in cardiac lab per scope of practice.
• Plan and coordinate department activities for efficient operations.
• Support safety and policy adherence for staff and patients.
• Manage time and equipment as part of the team.
• Ensure accurate data collection for process improvement.

• Performs effectively in all procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice.
• Plans, develops, and coordinates department activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
• Supports and enforces policy and procedure, ensuring safety for self, staff, physicians, and patients.
• Manages time and equipment effectively, working as a team member to provide the best possible care to patients.
• Practices universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
• Delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional patient care services consistently.
• Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement, understanding department performance trends and established standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information.
• Assists leadership in meeting department budgetary goals and creating budget plans.
• Ensures appropriate daily and on-call staffing, managing lab labor expenses in accordance with department budget.

• Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Computer skills in word processing and email, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook [Preferred]
• Knowledge of PACS, hemodynamic and documentation system. [Preferred]
• Knowledge of advanced levels of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Preferred]
• Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
• Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures [Preferred]
• Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
