Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is hiring for a full-time cardiac laboratory role. The position involves circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing in a diagnostic or interventional cardiovascular lab, supporting safety and high-quality patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), 2+ years of healthcare experience, BLS/ACLS, RN or RT credentials, and proficient English communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy.
• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to communicate appropriately with patients, families, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Knowledge of PACS and documentation systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of advanced ECG training and electrophysiology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates department activities to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
• Supports and enforces policy and procedure to ensure safety for self, staff, physicians, and patients.
• Manages time and equipment, working as part of a team to provide the best possible patient care.
• Delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional patient care services.
• Supports data collection for process improvement and monitoring department performance.
• Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Mantains confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff information.
• Assists leadership in meeting department budgetary goals and creating budget plans.
• Ensures appropriate daily and on-call staffing, managing lab labor expenses.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade clinical and leadership skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Practices universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
• Delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional patient care services consistently.
• Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement, understanding department performance trends and established standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Knowledge of PACS, hemodynamic and documentation system. [Preferred]
