Cross Roads Case Management in Maine is seeking a dedicated Supervisor of BHPs to lead and support a team of Behavioral Health Professionals within the Adaptive Behavioral Services program.

The role focuses on daily coordination, supervision, and ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, MaineCare, and Section 28, while maintaining a client caseload and guiding onboarding and staff development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of BHP experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Section 28 programming.
  • Valid Maine driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an assigned caseload and provide a minimum of 10 direct client hours per week.
  • Conduct intakes, Comprehensive Assessments, Client Reviews, and client observations as assigned.
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate BHPs, including coaching and feedback.
  • Serve as a field resource for BHPs and assist with client, staffing, and service-delivery concerns.
  • Assist with BHP scheduling, staffing coverage, and coordination of client services.
  • Coordinate Meet and Greet meetings with new BHPs and families.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and creation of new-hire folders.
  • Monitor client progress, prepare review documentation, and calculate progress percentages.
  • Maintain accurate client and employee documentation and file audits for compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, MaineCare, Section 28, and agency policies.
  • Participate in program meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and QA activities.

Description

Cross Roads Case Management is seeking a dedicated and motivated Supervisor of BHPs to join our growing Adaptive Behavioral Services team!

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BHP who is ready to take the next step in their career and provide leadership, support, and guidance to a team of Behavioral Health Professionals.

The Supervisor of BHPs is responsible for supporting the Director and Assistant Director with the daily coordination and oversight of Adaptive Behavioral Services. The position supervises and supports BHPs, maintains a client caseload, assists with scheduling and onboarding, monitors service quality, and ensures compliance with treatment plans, agency policies, and applicable regulations.

  • Maintain an assigned caseload and provide a minimum of 10 direct client hours per week.
  • Conduct intakes, Comprehensive Assessments, Client Reviews, and client observations as assigned.
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate BHPs, including conducting observations and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Serve as a field resource for BHPs and assist with client, staffing, and service-delivery concerns.
  • Assist with BHP scheduling, staffing coverage, and coordination of client services.
  • Coordinate and attend Meet and Greet meetings with new BHPs and families.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, orientation, and creation of new-hire folders.
  • Monitor client progress, prepare review documentation, and calculate progress percentages.
  • Maintain accurate client and employee documentation, including client books and in-home binders.
  • Complete discharge chart reviews and conduct regular file audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, MaineCare, Section 28, and agency policies.
  • Participate in program meetings, staff meetings, training, and quality assurance activities.
  • Support the Director and Assistant Director with program operations and staff performance concerns.
  • Promote the agency's mission, values, trauma-informed practices, teamwork, and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of BHP experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Section 28 programming.
  • Valid Maine driver's license and reliable, legally compliant vehicle.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
  • Successful completion of required background checks and agency requirements.
Preferred:
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring BHPs or direct-care staff.
  • Experience with assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Knowledge of MaineCare and behavioral health regulations.
