Job summary

MAS Community Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to provide in-home and community-based therapeutic support for children aged 1–21 in Hampden, Maine. The role includes safe transport in your own vehicle and following treatment plans created with families and the care team.

Qualifications emphasize a willingness to learn, flexibility for afternoons/evenings/weekends, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active BHP certification not required
• 1 year of experience with children is a plus (education, childcare, babysitting)
• Interest in early childhood education, social work, or psychology
• Flexibility to work some afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record and background check
• Ability to provide active motor vehicle insurance & registration
• Ability to provide high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Providing supervision and therapeutic support to children aged 1–21 in clients' homes or community
• Safely transporting the client in your own vehicle
• Follow the client’s treatment plan with family and case management team
• Use smartphone apps, email, and document daily session notes; training is available

Part- Time Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) | Up to $27/hr | Hampden, Maine

Job Overview:

We’re looking for certified Behavioral Health Professionals in or near Hampden, Maine.

As a BHP, you will provide care to clients between the ages of 1-21. Specifically, provide supervision and therapeutic support to children struggling with severe and persistent behavioral challenges. Support will be in the client’s home or surrounding community.

Requirements:

• An active BHP Certification is not required! Our team ensures you have all the tools to become an excellent BHP.
• 1 year of experience working with children is a plus. (I.e. education, childcare, babysitting/nannying, etc.)
• Interest in a career in early childhood education, social work, or psychology
• Flexibility to work some afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record and background check
• Ability to provide active motor vehicle insurance & registration
• Ability to provide high school diploma or equivalent

Job Details:

• Providing individualized support within the clients' personal home and surrounding community.
• Safely transporting the client within your own personal, reliable vehicle.
• Following the client’s treatment plan outlined and created by the client’s family and the case management team.
• Basic understanding of smart phone applications, access to email communication, and awareness around processing electronic documents such as daily session notes. Training is available.
