Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Distribution & Warehouse Operations leader in Massachusetts to oversee staff and contractors, coordinate logistics, and drive process improvements. You will plan schedules, manage budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years in distribution/warehousing supervision, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills. Flexibility for extended hours during outages or critical projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in distribution or warehousing supervision/management.
• Technical knowledge in distribution and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with inventory management technology is a plus.
• May require extended hours during stoppages, emergencies, or deadlines.
• CDL A/B, hoisting license, fork truck, APICS certifications desirable but not required.
• Visa sponsorship applicants will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and supervise represented and non-represented staff and contractors in receiving, controlling, and delivering materials and equipment.
• Coordinate warehousing, trucking, crane operation, and related activities.
• Plan daily operational schedules and assign work to meet operating group needs.
• Supervise staff and guide resolution of internal and external problems.
• Analyze and control operations and maintenance, overtime, and capital budgets.
• Lead continuous process improvement efforts and implement approved changes.
• Ensure staff adherence to work practices, procedures, rules, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Interview and recommend candidates for employment and termination.
• Oversee contractors and manage selected projects.
• Maintain accurate records for material and equipment receipt, storage, inventory, and delivery.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to maintain emergency storm plans and support timely restoration of customer outages across three states.
• Lead projects and organize cross-functional teams for process improvement recommendations.
• Perform safety observations and administer safety programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Five (5) plus years in distribution or warehousing supervision / management or related experience
• Technical knowledge in distribution and warehouse operations
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with inventory management technology is a plus
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond the 40-hour work week during work stoppages, emergency events, or project deadlines
• CDL A/B, state or federal hoisting license, fork truck, and APICS certifications are desirable but not required
