We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing & Technical Services Supervisor to support the development, optimization, and commercialization of dietary supplement products. This role combines technical expertise in formulation science with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring product quality, manufacturing excellence, and successful product launches.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with dietary supplement formulations, enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, and can effectively collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners. This position also provides guidance and support to team members while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the product lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
- Partner directly with contract manufacturers to ensure formulation integrity and successful product commercialization.
- Review proposed manufacturing specifications, ingredient lists, and formulation changes for new and reformulated products.
- Analyze formulations for ingredient compatibility, stability, potency, and manufacturability.
- Evaluate alternative ingredients and formulation enhancements to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
- Provide technical oversight and support for existing products and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Investigate product issues, deviations, complaints, and process trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor manufacturing performance across multiple products and production sites, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support manufacturing modifications, testing activities, and process optimization efforts.
- Offer direction, coaching, and technical expertise to team members involved in formulation, technical services, and vendor management.
- Help establish priorities, support project execution, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Provide regular feedback and contribute to the development of a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, or a related scientific field.
- 5+ years of dietary supplement formulation experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in dietary supplement manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of dietary supplement ingredients, functionality, stability, processing methods, and manufacturing characteristics.
- Working knowledge of dietary supplement cGMPs and regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Part 111.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and formulation challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
