Job summary

Royston Group in Bell Gardens, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor responsible for daily plant operations, supervising production employees, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery of signage products. This hands-on leader will drive continuous improvement, enforce OSHA standards, and partner with the Plant Manager to optimize productivity.

The position supports the second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in signage, metal fabrication, or custom manufacturing.
• Two or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe manufacturing practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Plant Manager to coordinate and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals and customer delivery schedules are met.
• Assist the Plant Manager in implementing operational strategies that improve productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Supervise daily production activities across various departments.
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
• Conduct daily production meetings to communicate priorities, production goals, and operational updates.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow management.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, inventory usage, and production metrics.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Supervisor

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of high-quality signage products. • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
