Possess a valid Texas Operator’s License
High school diploma or GED
Five years’ experience in maintenance training, experience in a school or educational facility is preferred
Experience in personnel management, training, and supervision
Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
Ability to interpret plans, shop drawings, and specifications
Ability to plan, prioritize and oversee multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.
Proficient with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Federal, State, Local, and ADA codes
Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Physically able to lift 50 pounds
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
The Area Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair operations across assigned campuses and facilities within the district. This role ensures all facilities are safe, functional and well-maintained while supervising maintenance staff and ensuring compliance with district policies, safety standards and applicable regulations.
Computer, tablet, phone, smart phone, lightweight truck, van, trailer, and various maintenance tools and equipment.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district-wide travel; regular prolonged and irregular hours; work indoors and outdoors to conduct on-site inspection of all facilities and projects; work around machinery with moving parts; work on ladders or scaffolding.
