Katy ISD is seeking a MA General Maintenance Senior to maintain school facilities on a 10‑hour shift within a 261‑day work year. The role covers electrical, plumbing, painting, fire alarm and general trades; candidate plans daily work, handles emergencies, and collaborates with campus staff.

Requires a Texas Operator’s License, ability to read plans, 3 years of experience, lifting up to 50 pounds, and English proficiency. Four-day week, non‑exempt, Pay Grade A05. Apply via Human Resources.

• Efficiently use district work order program daily.
• Communicate effectively with campus staff, administration and other departments daily.

Qualifications:

Primary Purpose

Help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Working Conditions

Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Work around moving objects or vehicles.
