Position

The Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for developing and managing the GMP maintenance program and maintenance personnel. This includes overseeing equipment and systems within NorthStar production and laboratory facilities.

Responsibilities

1. Strengthen NorthStar’s GMP Preventive Maintenance system using vendor recommendations, system SMEs, and maintenance personnel experience.
2. Collaborate with NMR engineers to develop maintenance schedules aligned with production needs.
3. Supervise accurate and complete maintenance data entry into NorthStar’s CMMS, and improve CMMS capabilities.
4. Read and interpret equipment drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and diagrams.
5. Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and CMMS tasks.
6. Coordinate with Facilities and Validation/Calibration teams to ensure proper documentation and planning for maintenance tasks.
7. Ensure personnel perform tasks to standard, providing mentoring and development to stay current with policies and trends.
8. Participate in FMEA activities for continuous improvement.
9. Perform maintenance and calibration audits.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance and at least four years of maintenance/facilities experience, including one year in a supervisory role; or equivalent education and experience. Experience in ISO 9000, FDA, cGMP/GLP, USDA environments, and with CMMS is preferred. Experience in regulated manufacturing, such as food or healthcare, is advantageous.

Working Conditions

Expect physical demands including visual acuity and color discrimination. Work environment includes indoor manufacturing, laboratory, and outdoor settings with varying temperatures and noise levels. PPE including respirators, gloves, and safety glasses is required, along with gowning protocols in cleanrooms. Radiation exposure may occur, and monitoring may be required.
