Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to direct and coordinate production activities in our Topeka, IN facility.

You will lead teams across shifts, ensure on-time delivery, and uphold safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will coach staff, optimize processes, and develop associates through hands-on training, aiming for continuous improvement and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and distribute manpower for departments under their responsibilities to satisfy customer requirements in service and quality
• Oversee training and retraining of all associates in the various assigned departments, emphasizing cross-training, safety, and ergonomics
• Coach and counsel associates to encourage and enhance career and self-development
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment on problem solving activities
• Manage departments to meet attainment, efficiency, quality, scrap, 6S, plant initiatives and budget targets/goals
• Lead by example while supporting guiding principles; treat others with respect, one piece flow, problem solving excellence
• Performs job tasks with honesty, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Ability to lead hands-on training process
• Ability to be creative and forward thinking
• Ability to develop, mentor and guide new associates (and current associates)
• Interprets company policies, enforces safety regulations, and recommend discipline
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, safety policies and rules
• Makes non-biased decisions regarding associates
• Responsible for knowing quality requirements.
