Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our patient‑centered Laboratory team.

You will perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and handle patient registration using the Laboratory information system. You will prepare specimens for reference labs, maintain inventory, operate and maintain lab equipment, and complete clerical duties while upholding safety and patient identification policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy skills and patient specimen handling.
• Ability to follow safety and department policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy, processes patient specimens and performs patient registration.
• Utilizes Laboratory information system to manage data.
• Prepares specimens to be sent to reference laboratories.
• Maintains department inventory and operates equipment.
• Performs various clerical duties.
• Adheres to patient identification, laboratory safety, and department policies.
• Promotes teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
