Responsibilities

  • Supervises, coaches, and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel.
  • Oversees daily lab operations and makes personnel decisions.
  • Analyzes and interprets laboratory results per established work processes.
  • Manages laboratory inventories (supplies, equipment, consumables).
  • Selects appropriate test methodologies for clinical use.
  • Verifies procedures and establishes test performance characteristics (precision/accuracy).
  • Preferred: one to three years of supervisor or higher experience.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*
As our Supervisor Laboratory, you will supervise laboratory personnel and operations to ensure compliance and quality in accordance with laboratory work process, exercising authority over personnel decisions while overseeing the technical and scientific oversight of the clinical laboratory department.
Every day you will analyze and interpret laboratory results, administer laboratory inventories, ensure adherence to policies and ethics, and verify test procedures while resolving technical problems to ensure patient results are accurate and reliable.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong administrative and leadership qualities, maintain effective communication to influence and support customers, possess extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations to ensure ongoing compliance, and utilize key skills in financial management, human resources, and workflow design.

  • Supervises, coaches, and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethics
  • Oversees designated laboratory day-to-day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions
  • Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
  • Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables
  • Selection of test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results
  • Verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system
  • Job Requirements*Required
  • Bachelors Other, in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA and
  • Four (4) to six (6) years experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years at a moderate or high complexity laboratory and
  • Clinical Lab Scientist: CA (CLS:CA)
Preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years experience as a supervisor or higher
