Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Supervisor for Insurance Verification, Authorization & Intake to lead the front-end teams responsible for determining if DME orders can be processed, billed and delivered timely. You will oversee verification, prior authorization, and intake, coaching a high-performing team and partnering with sales, billing and referral sources.

The role requires 4–8 years in healthcare, a related degree or equivalent experience, and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid payer criteria.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of healthcare operations leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • DME/HME industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer criteria and documentation.
  • Experience with billing/management platforms such as Brightree or similar.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the insurance verification, authorization and intake teams to ensure timely, accurate processing.
  • Oversee insurance eligibility verification and coordination of benefits across payers.
  • Oversee submission, tracking and follow-up of prior authorization requests.
