Job summary

The Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero is seeking a Supervisor II to oversee the Forensic Services Department. This permanent, full-time position is based in San Luis Obispo County, in an in-office setting, reporting to the Chief of Forensic Services or Medical Director.

Job Description And Duties

The Supervisor II - Forensic Services will be directed by the Chief of Forensic Services or the Medical Director in Forensic Services at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• Responsible for management, supervision, and providing direction to the Forensic Services Department.


• Assess, develop, and implement training needs for current and future staff assignments.


• Manage hospital census independently coordinating with all State Hospitals in an effort to reduce the statewide Incompetent to Stand Trial (PC1370) wait list.


• Develop and enhance tools to increase skills and knowledge for staff.
