Job summary

WM is seeking a plant supervisor in Warren, OH to establish, monitor, and maintain productivity across shifts. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations while coordinating with plant personnel and shifts.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license; schedule includes 12-hour weekend shifts and 8-hour weekday shifts. Salary range $60k–$75k DOE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience or training demonstrating strong communication and customer service.
• Current driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant personnel perform tasks safely with PPE.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and manage plant supplies to ensure inventories.
• Monitor productivity standards; review shifts for maximum efficiencies.
• Initiate actions to resolve hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Train new plant and temp personnel; provide monthly training.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction; coordinate with scheduling.
• Interface with personnel to achieve business goals.
• Periodic facility audits and regulatory paperwork review.
• Monitor daily performance; participate in hiring/firing decisions and discipline.
• Maintain overall cost control of the plant.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Pay Range: $60k to $75k DOE

Shift Information: Must be flexible as this supervisor will work different shifts based on needs of the business. Schedule includes a 12-Hour weekend workday, and four (4) 8-Hour day weekdays. Will work one of two shifts per business need: Second Shift, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or Third Shift, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

I. Job Summary

Establish, monitor, and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiencies on each of the operating shifts at the plant. Monitors and maintains regulatory and safety compliance as we strive for maximum production.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant personnel perform their tasks safely while always utilizing all PPE and other safety equipment.
• Maintain regulatory compliance within the plant and plant yard. Maintain and manage plant processing supplies consisting of PPE, uniforms, cleaning material, processing chemicals, etc., to ensure that adequate inventories are always available.
• Ensure the plant employees and shift supervisors maintain productivity standards in all phases of their operations. Review shift productivity to identify maximum efficiencies and operational opportunities.
• Initiate actions to ensure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices.
• Train all new plant and temp personnel and provide monthly training of all current plant personnel, as required or requested, including safety and compliance.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally. Coordinate customer needs by adhering to a defined processing schedule.
• Interface proactively with personnel to achieve business goals.
• Periodic facility audits, review of all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc).
• Monitor daily performance of plant employees, directly or within guidance, providing feedback (including growth opportunities). Influence hiring and firing decisions and disciplinary procedures. Assist in resolving plant problems and issues between sales, drivers, and plant/maintenance employees.
• Maintain overall cost control of the plant.
• Performs other related duties as required or requested.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
• 2 years of related experience or training, or combination of experience and training, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior service in a variety of settings and situations. and
• Current driver’s license Upon Hire.

B. Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisory experience.
