Job Description And Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary by 3% S01; in exchange for leave credits. The salary range(s) included on this job advertisement do not reflect this reduction in pay. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue PLP 2025 hours on the first day of each pay period in accordance with their applicable Bargaining Unit contract.

Under the direction of the Budget Officer, the Supervisor I is a working manager responsible for the planning, developing, coordination, and supervising of budget-related activities for the California Department of Conservation. The incumbent oversees staff in budget development; accurately tracks and monitors program expenditures; tracks and reconciles provisional funding/expenditures for accurate reporting to control agencies; assists program and staff in the complex preparation and completion of funding requests.
