Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Supervisor of Housekeeping for Saint Luke’s North. You will oversee Environmental Services staff, assign tasks, ensure a clean and safe hospital environment, and maintain JCAHO/OSHA compliance.

This is a full-time role with evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of rotating shifts. This position requires a positive attitude, strong customer service, flexibility, and the ability to train new staff.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean and safe hospital environment.

• Record and maintain HR/JCAHO documentation.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO and OSHA recommendations.

The Opportunity

Saint Luke’s North in KC, Missouri is seeking a Supervisor of Housekeeping.

• This person Supervises leads and coordinates employees engaged in maintaining a clean and orderly condition throughout the institution in patient care and ancillary areas.
• Strives for and ensures customer satisfaction in all areas of responsibility.
• Assigns routine employees to specific tasks.
• Records and maintains all documentation as requested by Human Resources and JCAHO standards.
• Educates and trains new employees.
• Demonstrates new techniques and equipment.
• Practices cost containment involving supplies and equipment purchases.
• Takes periodic inventories.
• Works with management on any unbudgeted needs.
• Responsible for the supervision of the environmental services function within the Hospital as follows
• Provides a clean and safe environment at the Hospital
• Ensures proper staffing training organization and direction of Environmental Services Associates
• Ensures compliance with JCAHO and OSHA recommendations

Shift Details

• 40 Hours per week
• Rotating Weekends
• Rotating Holidays
• Evenings
