Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Three years of nursing experience with administrative/supervisor responsibility; one year management preferred.
• Current Missouri RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Nursing Department during the assigned shift.
• Direct hospital-wide nursing activities and staff supervision.
• Make administrative decisions based on policies and nursing standards.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration within the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards for Nursing.

Position Summary

The House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital wide nursing activities on his/her designated shift . Administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards . Knowledge regarding social, economic and legal issues affecting the healthcare System . Seeks opportunities for keeping up-to-date in healthcare practices Develops, directs, implements and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare delivery . Meets the Joint Commission Standards for Nursing . Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Experience: A minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated . One year management experience preferred.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
