Job summary

VPNE is seeking a Supervisor Garage Attendant at Duke Hospital Raleigh to greet patients and guests with a positive, friendly demeanor while parking and retrieving their vehicles in a safe, professional garage setting.

The position requires Monday–Friday scheduling with multiple shift options. Duties include keeping keys and cars organized, upholding safety, and maintaining VPNE standards of appearance and communication, emphasizing teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Park and retrieve patient vehicles in a safe, orderly garage environment.
• Keep track of keys and cars throughout the garage.
• Maintain safety standards and professional communication with patients and teammates.
• Assist with shift transition and keep uniform/grooming standards.

The role of the Supervisor Garage Attendant is to make a fantastic impression on every patients by engaging with our guests and patients in a positive and friendly manner and being responsible for parking and retrieving their vehicles in a parking garage or similar facility safely.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm 7am-3:30pm 10am-6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times
• Continuously safely operate vehicles to minimize the potential for accidents
• Keep track of keys and cars throughout the garage
• Be enthusiastic about the job, creating a positive environment for the patients and teammates to enjoy
• Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices
• Help facilitate transition at the end of the shift
• Look sharp and neatly groomed at all times
• Cleaning duties as assigned
• Adhere to VPNE attendance policy

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid Driver’s License in the state of residency
• Be able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check
• Ability to create relationships with patients
• Be organized
• Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider
