About the position

The Food Service Supervisor at Atlantic Health System is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the Retail food services Department. This role requires a customer-centered approach and effective leadership skills to enhance the experience of patients, customers, and team members. The supervisor will manage work schedules, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and facilitate team training and development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to team members to promote operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards as per local and state regulations.
• Direct team members in following written and verbal instructions to meet patient, retail, and catering needs.
• Train team members in the safe preparation and delivery of food services.
• Ensure adherence to department policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Report any operational needs or concerns regarding equipment, food supply, sanitation, and safety to leadership.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and disciplinary processes for team members.
• Conduct training and in-service sessions for team members as required.
• Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars, conferences, and affiliations.
  
  
  

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in healthcare food service or related dining preferred.
