CT Scan Technologist - Morristown Medical Center - Per Diem

Join us as a CT Scan Technologist at Morristown Medical Center in the Atlantic Health System.

Job Overview

The role involves producing cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues to assist in medical diagnoses. Responsibilities include interpreting physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating CT scan equipment, and positioning patients appropriately.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Interpreting CT protocols and correctly positioning patients.
2. Operating CT scanners according to radiation safety standards (ALARA).
3. Assessing CT images for technical quality.
4. Using EPIC, Radiant, and PACS systems to schedule and transmit images for radiologist review.
5. Preparing and administering contrast materials via the power injector.
6. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiology program and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
• State licensure in Diagnostic Technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• CT Certification is preferred.
