Job summary

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is seeking a motivated Field Service Manager to lead a team responsible for pension plan administration and participant support.

The role focuses on developing staff, ensuring accurate benefit processing, and delivering exceptional service. You will meet with plan participants, union representatives, and employers to explain eligibility, participation requirements, and plan provisions, while coordinating with internal teams on complex cases and process

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in the benefits field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to influence others to get work done.
  • Clear, professional written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Field Service team including hiring, training and scheduling.
  • Explain pension plan eligibility, participation requirements, benefits, and plan provisions to participants, union representatives, and employers.
  • Assist participants with benefit applications, retirement options, and eligibility questions via individual and group meetings.
  • Review complex benefit inquiries and applications, obtaining required documentation.
  • Prepare benefit appeals and correspondence by interpreting plan provisions and documenting recommendations.
  • Respond to participant inquiries by phone and in writing, guiding on benefits, eligibility and appeal procedures.
  • Prepare management reports and support projects and process improvements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.

What you'll be doing...
  • Manage the Field Service team including hiring, training and scheduling
  • Meet with plan participants, union representatives, and employers to explain pension plan eligibility, participation requirements, benefits, and plan provisions.
  • Conduct individual and group meetings to assist participants with benefit applications, retirement options, and eligibility questions.
  • Review and process complex benefit inquiries and applications, obtaining additional documentation when needed.
  • Prepare benefit appeals, denial letters, and correspondence by interpreting plan provisions and documenting case recommendations.
  • Respond to participant inquiries by phone and in writing, providing guidance on benefits, eligibility, and appeal procedures.
  • Prepare management reports and support special projects and process improvements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Starting salary range of $6,685 - $9,045 per month. Pay depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.
