The role involves hiring, training, scheduling, explaining pension plan eligibility, assisting with benefit applications, and guiding participants through retirement options while maintaining confidentiality and high service levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in the benefits field
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Leader with ability to influence others to get work done
• Clear, professional written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to travel including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Field Service team, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Meet with plan participants, union representatives, and employers to explain eligibility, participation requirements, benefits, and plan provisions
• Conduct individual and group meetings to assist participants with applications, retirement options, and eligibility questions
• Review and process complex benefit inquiries and applications, obtaining additional documentation as needed
• Prepare benefit appeals, denial letters, and correspondence by interpreting plan provisions and documenting recommendations
• Respond to participant inquiries by phone and in writing with guidance on benefits and eligibility
• Prepare management reports and support special projects and process improvements
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality

What you'll be doing…

The Supervisor, Field Service Representatives oversees and manages a team of client service professionals and serves as the liaison with local unions, employers and participants. You will:

• Manage the Field Service team including hiring, training and scheduling
• Meet with plan participants, union representatives, and employers to explain pension plan eligibility, participation requirements, benefits, and plan provisions.
• Conduct individual and group meetings to assist participants with benefit applications, retirement options, and eligibility questions.
• Review and process complex benefit inquiries and applications, obtaining additional documentation when needed.
• Prepare benefit appeals, denial letters, and correspondence by interpreting plan provisions and documenting case recommendations.
• Respond to participant inquiries by phone and in writing, providing guidance on benefits, eligibility, and appeal procedures.
• Prepare management reports and support special projects and process improvements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
