Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services for day shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The role supports the manager by planning, organizing, and supervising department activities to maintain a clean, safe environment. CHEST certification is required for existing staff by 7/31/2019 and new hires by 8/1/2016 must obtain CHEST within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Some college is preferred.

Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services.

Hours/Shift: Full-time Day Shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Environmental Services Team Coordinator assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Participate in the work activities of assigned teams through providing assistance, serving as technical resource and participating in the work as a member of the team. Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment. Support and communicates Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members.

Some College is preferred. 2+ years supervisory experience preferred. CHEST certification required for all existing staff by 7/31/2019. New employees hired after 8/1/2016 required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.

Experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $25.22 - $37.72 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
