Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Engineering Operations in La Jolla. The role requires travel to systemwide locations and after-hours support as needed.

Lead Service Techs, oversee repairs, and ensure safe, reliable operations across multiple sites, including the corporate office. Based at Scripps Corporate Office in La Jolla, you will coordinate workloads, respond to emergencies, and support projects with a strong emphasis on compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant, progressive experience, at least two within a hospital setting.
• High school graduate.
• Experience in Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Service Techs and coordinate work orders for efficient deployment of resources.
• Maintain and repair systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with projects; schedule team workloads.
• Conduct site rounds; maintain required site documentation and coordinate with landlords/property managers for leased sites.

The Supervisor of Engineering Operations advises and assists organization in preparation for site/facility specific accreditation surveys. Will be responsible for Service Techs, will help maintain and repair systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations of the site/facility. Performs related duties to ensure safe, reliable efficient operation of the site/facility. Coordinates and assigns work orders for efficient deployment of resources. Will be responsible for responding to emergencies, responsible to assist with projects, ability to schedule the team's workloads, and ensuring tasks are completed. Responsible for conducting site rounds and upkeep of required site documentation and working with landlords/property managers where sites are leased to perform services and repairs when needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant, progressive experience, at least two of which within a hospital setting
• High school graduate

• Experience in Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing
