Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME is seeking an Emergency and Critical Care Clinical Supervisor to lead our fast-paced team and promote exceptional pet care. This full-time day-shift role (Thu-Sat, 6p-6a) pairs clinical leadership with hands-on supervision in a multi-specialty hospital setting.

You will guide staff, manage daily workflow, and ensure high-quality nursing care while maintaining records and supporting diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • Licensed veterinary technician (or equivalent) with current credentials.
  • Minimum of 3 years of veterinary hospital experience.
  • Leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support technical staff through daily guidance, coaching, and feedback.

Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and motivated Emergency and Critical Care Clinical Supervisor to help lead our emergency and critical care team. In a setting where every moment matters, this role is key to supporting both patients and the people caring for them. You’ll work closely with hospital leadership to create a strong, collaborative environment where your team feels supported and empowered to deliver exceptional care. This is a full-time day shift position, working Thursday through Saturday,6p-6a.

Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Veterinary Clinical Supervisor - Emergency

Salary: $32.00-$40.00 /per hour based on experience

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead and support technical staff through daily guidance, coaching, and feedback
  • Partner on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment
Workflow & Operations
  • Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and patient flow
  • Delegate responsibilities to support efficient, high-quality care
  • Identify and improve processes to enhance team efficiency
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality nursing care across the department
  • Support treatments, procedures, and diagnostics as needed
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Client Experience

REQUIREMENTS
