Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is an emergency clinic originally formed by local veterinarians to deliver prompt and conscientious emergency care for patients after hours, on weekends, and during holidays. We are fully equipped and provide state‑of‑the‑art care. All of our doctors and technicians have training and experience in emergency care. Veterinary Technician

What You’ll Do

• Perform triage evaluation of the condition of a variety of patients
• Create and maintain treatment sheets
• Calculate and administer scheduled medications, continuous infusions, and blood products
• Place and maintain catheters (central and peripheral venous, and urinary)
• Record all treatments and patient status observations
• Charge for all treatments and procedures
• Alert the DVM with any changes in a patient's status
• Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
• Perform radiographs and laboratory analyses
• Interact with clients, provide patient updates, financial updates, and manage patient visits
• Able to comfort, handle and restrain large and small animals
