Job summary

Maine Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Emergency & Critical Care Clinical Supervisor to lead our emergency team in Scarborough, ME. This full-time night shift role runs Thursday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with access to cutting-edge care and facilities.

Qualifications

  • Licensed, Registered, or Certified Veterinary Technician.
  • Minimum of 3 years of veterinary hospital experience.
  • Leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.

  • Able to lift 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Emergency & Critical Care team through daily guidance and feedback.
  • Partner on hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment.
  • Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and patient flow.
  • Delegate responsibilities to maintain high-quality care.
  • Identify and improve processes to enhance team efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a professional client experience.
  • Guide team interactions and assist with resolving concerns.

Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and motivated Emergency and Critical Care Clinical Supervisor to help lead our emergency and critical care team. In a setting where every moment matters, this role supports both patients and the people caring for them. You\'ll work closely with hospital leadership to create a strong, collaborative environment where your team feels supported and empowered to deliver exceptional care. This is a full-time day shift position, working Thursday through Saturday, 6p-6a. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community with access to specialists and cutting-edge care, technology, and training facilities.

Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice with full in-house laboratory capabilities, fluoroscopy for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound, and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Position: Veterinary Clinical Supervisor - Emergency
Location: Maine Veterinary Medical Center, Scarborough, ME
Salary: $32.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and support technical staff through daily guidance, coaching, and feedback
  • Hiring and onboarding: Partner on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
