Job Description

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising warehouse functions and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction, team morale, safety, and progress toward business goals.

This position oversees 2nd shift supervision, with core hours from 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  1. Support programs that promote safety, meeting OSHA, EPA regulations, and safety goals.
  2. Manage Associates' activities through the EWM system to maintain a continuous flow of orders in shipping and receiving.
  3. Enforce personnel policies, procedures, and programs fairly and consistently.
  4. Ensure efficient order closeouts and proper shift handoffs.
  5. Direct receiving, put-away, picking, and re-warehousing activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with special customer shipping instructions.
  7. Oversee proper order staging and documentation for outbound shipments.
  8. Train Associates in their duties according to established procedures.
  9. Provide reports, corrective actions, and updates through oral and written communication.
  10. Plan and implement process improvements.
  11. Manage distribution operations, including shipments, space, inventory, expenses, and staffing to meet budgets and operational levels.
  12. Collaborate with Customer Service, Transportation, Manufacturing, and customers to improve processes.
  13. Coordinate with Trainers for timely and proper training of Associates.
  14. Administer corrective actions when violations occur.
  15. Work with team leads to optimize Inventory Management System and Carton sorting/labeling systems.
  16. Maintain good housekeeping, safe storage, and equipment maintenance.
  17. Conduct employee performance reviews to develop potential.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 3 years of warehousing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory role; experience in automated distribution is a plus.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, SAP; experience with Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities.
  • Flexible, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement and growth.
  • Detail-oriented with clear communication skills.
  • Capable of managing heavy workloads.

Additional Information
