Job summary

NYSEG in Vestal, NY seeks a Supervisor for Dispatch & ECC to oversee electric and customer service operations, including dispatching field crews and emergency response. The role drives safe, reliable system performance while delivering high-quality customer service.

The position requires an Associate degree with substantial relevant experience; NERC certification is preferred. The incumbent will guide staff, coordinate operations, and report on disturbances to management and regulators.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required.
• Certifications: NERC Certification as appropriate.
• Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of both gas and electric systems.
• Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to make operational decisions under pressure and to lead special projects.

Job Summary

Directs and supervises employees responsible for operating and/or providing technical support for the operations of the Company's electric and/or customer service activities which may include the dispatch of field operations crews in response to customer trouble and emergency calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to employees engaged in the operation of the electric system.
• Develop and oversee general operating practices that promote the safe, reliable operation of the electric and/or gas systems, while providing high quality customer service to electric & gas customers.

• May Represent Company on interdepartmental and regulatory committees and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of both gas and electric systems.
• Knowledge of customer service procedures is desirable.
• Certifications: NERC Certification as appropriate.
