Whidbey General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in Diagnostic Imaging. Applicants must possess an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and have extensive experience in the field. JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Department Manager or Director, the Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of department services.
This individual is decisive, collaborative, open-minded, team-focused, wholly in support of the WhidbeyHealth vision and fully invested in the success of the staff and organization within our community. A qualified Supervisor will demonstrate the ability to support and further a patient-centered care culture and provide caring and dedicated leadership to their management team. The supervisor provides operational leadership to the Manager and may be responsible for designated shifts or segments of the department.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Performs assessments of department activities and takes appropriate action to resolve immediate issues and / or completes P / I activities as directed.
Prepares employee schedules according to budgets, paid time off records and department volumes and may validate/approve employee timecards as directed.
Prepares reports related to quality metrics and staff communications and presents information in staff meetings as directed.

Participates in applicant interviews and makes hiring recommendation to manager.
Provides training and / or retraining for new and current employees as directed.
Participates with other departments and assist with work redesign and communication to enhance outcomes in department and patient experience.
Supervises staff, documents competencies and completes annual performance evaluations for manager approval.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (or other Diagnostic Imaging modality such as Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, CT, or, MRI) required.
Training and Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of clinic or hospital Diagnostic Imaging experience is required, with a minimum of one (1) year spent in a Lead Technologist capacity is required.

Possesses ability to utilize managerial concepts, expertise, and clinical and/or technical knowledge pertinent to the position to successfully carry out responsibilities as delineated.
