Job summary

Resurrection House Inc in Wheatley Heights, NY is seeking a dedicated House Monitor to provide a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for residents.

You will monitor safety, enforce rules, document incidents, assist with daily living activities, and collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in residential care or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm in crisis situations.
• Reliable, punctual with flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Empathy, patience and a genuine commitment to helping others.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise residents to ensure safety and wellbeing.

• Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of the facility.
• Document and report resident behavior, incidents and concerns to supervisory staff.
• Document case notes in files.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including cooking and general guidance.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents and management to ensure continuity of care.
