POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervises efficient work procedures, recommendations for on-going process improvement, and coordinates programs to meet billing and collections goals to maximize company cash flow.

Job Duties:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to understand and utilize different communication styles including communicating effectively with supervisor regarding issues that arise
  • Coach direct reports to improve and effectively increase production.
  • Answers questions from customers, clerical staff, insurance companies, and physician offices.
  • Able to make outbound calls to obtain appropriate documentation for reimbursement of orders shipped.
  • Identifies and resolves patient complaints.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices.
  • Documents activities in ERP system in an efficient accurate and timely manner
  • Effectively evaluates EOB’s and makes appropriate adjustments.
  • Effectively resolves aging claims in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency in assigned account
  • Determines most effective and economical means of collecting account.
  • Ability to train on policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the billing activity is handled correctly.
  • Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment.
  • Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to various insurances either electronically or by paper.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal billing regulations.
  • Determines most effective and economical means of completing duties.
  • Developing staff, mentoring, training and providing career coaching, motivating staff individually and as a group.

Pay range depending on experience: $66k-$75k
