RadNet, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a laboratory supervisor with oversight of Hematology and Chemistry sections.
The role ensures accurate testing, proper reporting within turnaround times, and regulatory compliance while coordinating staff duties with the Medical Director and Pathologist. The ideal candidate holds a NYS Laboratory Technologist license and 6+ years in a clinical lab with 2+ years in supervision.
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field.
Minimum of six (6) years in a clinical laboratory in a hospital setting, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
New York State Licensed Laboratory Technologist
MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or MLT (ASCP) – Preferred
Knowledge of related theory, principles, practices, applicable instrumentation, analytical methods, quality control, statistical analysis, current government regulations and leadership
Knowledge of laboratory information system – Preferred
Must possess verbal and spatial ability, form perception, finger and manual dexterity and clerical ability.
Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Responsible for direct supervision of the technical staff assigned to the Hematology and Chemistry subsection of the Core Laboratory. Ensures patient samples are tested properly, and correct results reported within the established turn-around-time. Responsible for all technical procedures and regulatory compliance for the Hematology and Chemistry subsection, organizes and delegates duties and responsibilities of the staff, in cooperation with Medical Director, Assistant Directors, and Pathologist, and Administrative Director. Assists in the coordination and supervision of the operations of the Core Laboratory Section.
