Job summary

WhiteCap Search is seeking an experienced clinical laboratory leader to oversee a hospital system's laboratory operations, drive staff development, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality initiatives that support high-quality patient care.

You will supervise daily testing activities, mentor staff, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership to advance performance improvement and accreditation standards across the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant hospital laboratory experience.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (CLAB) required; ASCP or NCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laboratory operations and testing activities

RequirementsEducation

Experience

• Experience supervising, mentoring, training, or leading laboratory staff preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
• Experience troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and testing systems
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and laboratory software applications

Licenses & Certifications

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (CLAB) required
• ASCP Certification preferred
• NCA Certification preferred
